THERE’S TWO WAYS TO LEARN: IN PAIN OR SUFFERING OR IN JOY AND INSPIRATION. WHICH ONE WILL YOU CHOOSE?
Same thoughts always lead to the same choices. The same choices lead to the same behaviors. And the same behaviors create the same experiences and the same experiences produce the same feelings or emotions. So, everything in your biology stays the same. How you think, how you act and how you feel is called you personality. And your personality is intimately connected to your life, which is your reality.
One book that was very helpful for me when I started my emotional and mental healing process what "Breaking the habit of being yourself by Dr. Joe Dispenza. Because that is excatly what I wanted to do STOP BEING MYSELF. Can you imagine how painful it may feel to hate being yourself? Well, I felt like that. A bad mom, someone so emotionally hurt. I wanted to heal, but hating myself was not going to take me anywhere. Because I was feeling miserable and thinking that I was miserable, all day long. I literally had no other thoughts in my head. And of course my body chemically responded to those thoughts and feelings.
When that happens, we are caught in a loop of thinking and feeling and feeling and thinking. And this happens for so many years, sometimes our whole life if we are not aware of it. And the problem is that, the body subconsciously becomes the mind of that emotion, so our body will inevitably be and stay in the past, when that emotion or feeling was initially experienced.
HOW CAN WE CHANGE THOSE BEHAVIORS THAT WE WANT TO REMOVE BUT STUBBORNLY INSIST TO CONTROL US?
There are thousands of ways! From neuro-linguistic programming to hypnosis. I want to share with you two very simple ways to start:
1. Buy a notebook or notepad with a design that you really like, the size you need to carry it in your bag, to keep it on your desk or to have it on your nightstand next to your bed. Write down what you want to change, for example, I want to learn to eat healthy, I want a job that makes me happy, I want to have time to do things that I truly enjoy. Read your phrases every day, for 7 days. Do it at night before going to sleep, early when you wake up or at any other time when you can be calm.
2. Meditation. After reading them, close your eyes and imagine how you see yourself living these changes. Visualize yourself eating healthy and enjoying those new flavors. Imagine yourself in a job that makes you vibrate, see your happy face, feel that happiness to generate that emotion in you.
I have another secret for you…David Hamilton, PhD, states that the brain, in many ways, doesn’t distinguish real from imaginary. This is why meditation is so powerful! But I'll keep telling you about this in another post!
Trust that you can do it! Start today!
